In the autumn of 2009, I worked as an assistant to doctor Khasim, thereby learning his treatment techniques and much more at his clinic in the city of Mysore.

A silent film, a continuous fifty six minute loop which has been shown as a video installation. It deals with the frailty and precariousness of the human body, pain and recovery, shown through systematic movements and repetitive framing. It becomes at once a formal object of almost performative value and an unusual documentary about traditional medicinal practices by further it leads to rethink western practices and culture what tend to deny and ignore pain, as if it would be possible to suppress it beneath mountains of pills.
