|Mysore Bone Setters, 2011, 56 min.
A silent film, a continuous fifty six minute loop which has been shown as a video installation. It can also be shown as a single channel piece. It deals with the frailty and precariousness of the human body, pain and recovery, shown through systematic movements, and repetitive framing. It becomes at once a formal object of almost performative value and an unusual documentary about traditional medicinal practices by further it leads to rethink western practices and culture what tend to deny and ignore pain, as if it would be possible to suppress it beneath mountains of pills.
